We’ll start our list with the world-famous Ajmer Sharif Dargah. The Dargah is a tomb of Moinuddin Chishti, who was a Sufi saint, and a Philosopher. Every year millions of pilgrims visit this place to seek holy blessings. 

Most tourists who come to Ajmer start their trip by visiting this holy place. The Dargah welcomes people of every religion, caste, and gender. People offer chadars (sacred cloth sheets) to the shrine to express gratitude.

You can easily spend 3-4 hours in this place by looking at the people, observing how they cook in the world’s largest kadhai, and learning many things about the Muslim culture. You’re really going to like this place and will leave with a calm headspace.

When I visited Ajmer, I went straight to this place, as it’s open early in the morning. The place stays chaotic throughout the day because of the heavy crowds and congested space.

Bonus Tip: As the crowd gets enormous in the peak hours, you must keep an eye on your belongings at this place. You might drop your money or any electronic gadgets in long queues. Also, take a handkerchief or cap with you, which is mandatory to wear on your head before entering the Dargah.

02. Adhai Din Ka Jhopra

This place is spreaded in a vast park and is very photogenic amongst tourists. It’s located at a 5-10 mins walk from the Ajmer Sharif Dargah, and you can include it on your watchlist while visiting this holy city.

You can visit many temples, especially the nine planet temples, forts, and museums in Kishangarh city. The city is also known for its traditional Rajasthani cuisines and meals. 

The most famous thing in Kishangarh is its Marble Pit dumpyard. It’s a place developed from the wastes of marbles and looks stunning in the daytime. There is a nominal fee to enter this area, but it gives you a lifetime experience.
